How they support us: TacoMo proudly offers a discount for UPAWS adoptees upon request. Select dogs with more complex behavior needs will receive at least one $30 voucher for either a Free Personalized Private Session or $30 off a class.

Mares-Z-Doats Wish List Program
Who they are: Mares-Z-Doats is a locally owned and operated pet supply store.
How they support us: Purchase an item from the UPAWS Wish List, and you will receive a 10% discount on items purchased for the shelter. Mares-Z-Doats collects the donated items at the store.
Tadych’s Marketplace Foods “Cares” Program
Who they are: Tadych’s Marketplace Foods is a large grocery store located in Marquette, MI.
How they support us: Bring your Tadych’s Foods receipts to UPAWS, and Tadych’s Marketplace Foods will donate 1% of the sum of all receipts collected. You can also drop your slips at the UPAWS Westwood Mall kiosk or Mares-Z-Doats.

Who they are: Marquette County Local Businesses
How they support us: Many Marquette County businesses support UPAWS by giving a location to our change canisters. This adds up in a big way!

Compassionate Pet Care
Who they are: Jessi Hurd is a licensed veterinary technician who is the first veterinary professional certified in animal hospice and palliative care in the Upper Peninsula. She performs veterinary nursing services in the comfort of your own home. Although she specializes in older pets, many services can also be provided for pets of any age.
How they support us: Compassionate Pet Care proudly offers free in-home hospice consultations, free in-home palliative care consultations, and free in-home nail trims to UPAWS adoptees with vouchers and proof of adoption from UPAWS. Jessi volunteers for UPAWS in various aspects as well.

The Sasawin Safe Haven
Who they are: The Women’s Center provides 24/7 emergency-intervention and crisis-intervention services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking in Marquette and Alger Counties, providing individual/group counseling and advocacy through programs that Protect, Educate, Advocate, Counsel and Empower (PEACE).
How they support us: The Women’s Center developed The Sasawin Safe Haven to help survivors create escape plans that include safe placement for their pets.
