Bear is a six-month-old neutered boy with a whole lot of life ahead of him-and we are looking for someone very special to share it with.
Bear is a sweet, sensitive youngster who needs a little more understanding than your average happy-go-lucky puppy. He is learning that people can be trusted, that hands are gentle, and that learning new things can be fun. His new person will need to give him patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of kindness as he continues to grow.
And oh boy, when Bear decides you're someone he can trust... you get the BEST Bear.
He wiggles. He waggles. He gets silly and happy, and that sweet little face lights right up. Underneath that bit of uncertainty is a joyful, affectionate puppy who really, really wants to love and be loved. Earn Bear's trust, and you're going to have a little boy who thinks you hung the moon.
Bear already walks wonderfully on a leash, but one of his favorite places to be is out in the play yard having FUN. He loves toys of all kinds, so picture yourself tossing a tennis ball across the yard and watching Bear take off after it, then coming back ready for another round. Playtime, toys, praise, treats, goofy puppy moments-and that happy Bear grin looking back at you. That's the life we want for this boy.
Bear needs a home committed to positive, reward-based training only-someone who will encourage him, build his confidence, and understand that trust may take a little time. Give Bear that foundation, and what you'll receive in return is pretty darn special: a dog who will love you with his whole heart.
Because building that relationship is so important for Bear, he will require two meet-and-greets before adoption. That gives Bear and his potential family a little extra time together to start getting to know one another before heading home.
Bear is only six months old. His story is just beginning.
Now he needs someone wonderful to help him write the rest of it.
