We want to make the public aware of an important change so there is no confusion if you find a stray animal.

Effective 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗪𝗦 and has instead contracted with 𝗜𝘀𝗵𝗽𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 for those services.

Because each municipality is responsible for providing and funding its own stray animal impound services, it is important that stray animals are reported to the agency responsible for the municipality where they are found. This helps ensure animals are taken to the correct impound facility and gives owners the best opportunity to locate their lost pets.

UPAWS provides stray animal impound services for municipalities within Marquette County that contract with us.
