UPAWS Love NMU Hockey!

UPAWS was a guest at the NMU/MTU hockey game recently and had a great time visiting with shelter supporters and accepting donations for our shelter. The game was sponsored again this year by Dr. Jon & Jenny Webb of Downtown EyeCare, so many thanks to them for their support for this fundraiser. As part of the game sponsorship, we received a signed NMU hockey stick, which will be used at an upcoming fundraiser.

We’d also like to thank all the volunteers who came to help pass the UPAWS donation canisters during the game. The fans at the game were very generous-bringing in almost one thousand dollars in donations! Many people also brought ‘wish list’ items with them to the game so our shelter is stocked up again with pet & cleaning supplies-many thanks to those who were kind enough to bring something.

We had many people stop by our UPAWS table to see pictures of our pets that are up for adoption & visit with shelter volunteers. It’s always a fun evening & very helpful to our shelter, so a big thank you & ‘paws up’ to all who helped make this a wonderful evening!
