Super One Foods Cookouts a Big Success!
Super One Foods Cookouts a Big Success!
Super One Foods of Marquette & Negaunee held cookouts on Friday & Saturday of Labor Day weekend & raised a lot of money for our shelter! The weather was beautiful and those grilled brats were delicious! We’d like to thank store managers Ed Czenkus & Kyle L’Huiller, who make this happen each year & their terrific staff who handled the grill & helped serve all the hungry customers.
Because the food & drinks were totally donated by Old Wisconsin, Old Dutch, Aunt Millie’s, Sara Lee & Coke, all proceeds from the cookouts were able to come to the shelter, so a big thank you goes out to them also. Generous Super One customers also donated many needed ‘wish list’ items & dropped lots of money in our canisters.
Both stores offered paper ‘paws’ again this year in the month before the cookout (for customers to sign & donate a $1) and that added a lot to boost our total. Super One in Negaunee also offered their staff a chance to dress casual with a donation to our shelter & that helped boost their total even more!
A Super Big thank you to Super One of Marquette & Negaunee (and their very generous customers) for bringing in $5,425 to help our shelter!
