Original story: This is Leah girl, a gentle giant Great Dane that we love dearly and deeply. Leah was dropped of anonymously to UPAWS. When she arrived we immediately saw that she was badly in need of medical care. Leah had an extremely large tumor that was open and sore. This tumor was about the size of a soft ball and hanging from her body down to her feet. The tumor was much too graphic for us to share, but we can say it was causing her much discomfort and pain. Leah also had other small tumors, long nails and an open sore on her foot. Despite all that, Leah was always ready to greet us with a tail wag.
Although we weren’t able to learn anything about Leah from her previous family, we saw right away what an incredibly dog she is. This gentle girl has a heart of gold and a personality to match. She is quiet, loving and attentive. She is also super smart! She already knows sit, stay, down, shake, speak, sit pretty! Leah has an incredible spirit and a brave soul. We have been so blessed to meet this girl and we look forward to helping her find a true, loving home.
Can you help us help Leah?
Leah recently received emergency medical care and surgery. We are hoping the community with fall in love with Leah (how could you not!) and help us support her surgery cost, future medical care and other pets like her in need. If you can help, please consider giving a Pet Care Sponsorship for Leah. Together we will make a difference for this one very special girl.
Thank you to Gwinn Sawyer Veterinary Clinic and North ern Veterinary Associates for their care and compassion to Leah.
