Why?

The House Designers, an online house plan retailer, is offering rescue dog owners—people just like you— the chance to win a custom doghouse for your own pet—and help animal shelters in the process.

The inspiration behind this fundraiser is the true story involving a famous American architect, a boy and a very lucky Labrador.

Frank Lloyd Wright was a man known for his structures designed in harmony with humanity and its environment as much as his irritable personality.

But in 1956, he showed a surprising moment of kindness.

A 12-year-old boy wrote to ask him for blueprints for a doghouse so his beloved pet, Eddie, could have shelter when he was outside. The boy offered to pay, but Wright wound up sending him original plans free of charge.

This benevolence from long ago inspired The House Designers to create this unique fundraiser, where one of their talented architects will design and build a customized dog house for one lucky rescue dog. They will even match it to the owners house!

Enter today and good luck!
