Adopt a Pet

MCHS offers gift certificates to adopt a pet. Rather than selecting a pet you think your special someone would like, the gift certificate allows the recipient to select the right pet to match his or her family and lifestyle needs.

Sponsor a Pet

Be a Valentine for a Shelter Pet through our "Shelter Pet Sponsorship Program" or give a loved one a gift of a sponsorship in Honor of Your Loved one. You can pick the pet you want to sponsor; some pets really need the extra help (some may be noted as 'sponsorship needed' on the pets picture), but any pet can be chosen.

Here are some ways your can help the animals in our care:

~ $10 provides initial vaccinations for one dog or cat
~ $50 provides vital spay/neuter surgery for one cat
~ $55 provides vital spay/neuter surgery for one dog
~ $17 provides an FIV test for a shelter cat which in turn lets them share a kitty condo with other cats safely. This greatly reduces the stress on the kitty while they wait for their forever home.
