MCHS at International Food Festival-Mattson Lower Harbor Park

The MCHS will be hosting a tent at the International Food Festival, Mattson Lower Harbor Park, Marquette from Thursday (7/3) through Saturday (7/5). We will be serving slices of watermelon, Cookie Cutter's cookies/cake/brownies and Starbuck's coffee & ice tea. This is our first ever presence at the Food Festival, please stop by if you are at the festivities. Make a donation for a patriotic dog bandana from Hill's Science Diet!

We are open every day 11am - 4 pm

The Marquette County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1975 by concerned local citizens to help unwanted and stray animals in Marquette county. The MCHS provides care and shelter of homeless pets, educational presentations, neglect/cruelty referral, pet adoption (includes spay/neuter), shelter tours, pet care information, and pet lost and found services.

Our Location

MCHS is located approximately one mile off US-41 at 84 Snowfield Road in Negaunee Township just east of the TV-6 station. (Behind the old Airport.)

 


Hours: We are open to the public Every Day Now ! Seven days a week- 11:00AM to 4:00PM. 

Please note: There is NOT a fee to admit a pet that you can not keep or that you find as a stray!

We turn NO animals away. We are an Open Admission shelter.

After a good response to our June Adopt A Shelter Cat Month, MCHS will extend the promotion through July!
