Gizmo

Dear UPAWS family,

My family and I were the lucky ones who got to adopt Gizmo in November. We had been eyeing him…since you posted him on Facebook and we knew we had to have him. So one day when my mom and I both had a snow day, we braved the roads and drove up to get him. He has adjusted so well to our house and his new animal friends. Everybody who has had the pleasure of meeting him has fallen in love.
Even the people who haven’t met him are in love with him! He may always look unenthused, but his big purr and super cuddly cuddles prove otherwise. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is a lot like Fibromyalgia. With this comes increased depression and anxiety, amongst many other unpleasant things. Gizmo has helped me so much with all of this. He knows when I’m having a bad day and will give me extra cuddles when I need them. He also follows me around the house, so apparently he loves me as much as I love him! You have no idea how much this guy has helped me recently. He has become a kind of therapy cat for me; just without the prescription. Thank you so much UPAWS for giving me my new best friend.
