Roxy is a 5 year old female husky mix. She is a wonderful gal however very timid of new people and situations. She will be placed in a quiet, calm home without young children. She is a gentle, lovable dog. Roxy has always been an outdoor dog and was used for breeding. She hasn't had much experience with people and is learning at the shelter that people are fun and take her for walks and get her yummy treats. Roxy is learning fast though and knows some of the staff at the shelter and gets very excited to see them. She also loves loves loves walks and that is probably the best way to gain her love and trust. She is a very sweet gal that tries so hard to learn new situations. She hasn't had any accidents at the shelter. Roxy spent sometime with one of the kittens and pretended she was the mother. She really enjoyed that, so she is ok with cats. Talk to the staff about this lovely girl, she will require some work and effort, but believe me it will be worth it. Deb's Dog of the Month paid for her spay and vaccinations.
