UPDATE 12-31: Holly has found her new home! A HUGE thank you to everyone who has called, donated and was interested in adopting her. Scroll down to see Holly with her foster parents in a photo taken on 12-24. Holly is doing GREAT and her health and weight is right on! What a wonderful end to 2008!
Original write up: Meet Holly, our December "Deb's Dog of the Month". Holly is a 8 month old boxer puppy. She was surrendered to the shelter because her former owner said that she did not eat. Holly arrived emaciated and in terrible shape. The shelter immediately brought Holly to the vet to get a health check, bloodwork and parvo test (which was negative). Holly also had a broken toe and cut on her chest. The shelter staff is feeding her canned and dry food and she eats just fine at the shelter. She was chosen by Deb Danielson's family as the Deb's Dog of the Month. The Deb's Dog Program was established by Deb Danielson's family in her Memory. The Program helps MCHS shelter dogs in need like Holly with vet care. Click Here to learn more about the Deb's Dog Program.
The shelter contacted a wonderful couple who took Holly to foster. Holly is now in foster care and in only one week has put on 10 pounds! Holly is an extremely affectionate puppy who LOVES attention and being with people. A HUGE HUG and thank you to the Danielson family and the Deb's Dog Program and to our caring foster home. If you are interested in being a foster caregiver or in making a donation to the Deb's Dog of the Month Program to help shelter dogs like Holly, please call 475-6661.

Thank you!
